Ten Terrific Weeks of Reading and Fun Activities

What an adventure! Here is a kid reading program or just a fun educational activity for your children!

Who designed it?
Ten Terrific Weeks is a program designed by an Usborne Books at Home educational supervisor and a former teacher with the intent to fill days full of fun activities that come from reading books.

Who uses it?
The Ten Terrific Weeks kid reading program helps parents, grandparents, teachers, home educators, day cares, and after shool providers make learning fun and exciting!

What is it? Each Ten Terrific Weeks preschool reading program includes:

• a themed set of reading books
• educational activities for 10 weeks
• a curriculum with unit topics for discussion
• additional correlated activities
• any needed worksheets
• a complete shopping list for any supplies or food (if needed)

The Ten Terrific Weeks kid reading program is designed using books with age-appropriate interactive ideas to be used on a daily basis for 5 days of the week. However, each activity usually takes an hour or less, so you can choose to use the kit with your child only on weekends and accomplish several ideas in one sitting.

The Ten Terrific Weeks preschool reading program could also be used during Thanksgiving, used more at Christmas break and again on spring break to complete the program.

The most common use of Ten Terrific Weeks is a fun summer activity program for kids because the children are home from school and often lack ideas of, "what to do?" Now they have a fun summer preschool reading program to look forward to each day.

Ten Terrific Weeks is divided into two adventure levels:
Preschool through Lower Elementary Books found on this page and Upper Elelmentary Books.
