The preschool ocean lesson plans are a 10 week guide full of fun educational activities with a themed set of ocean activity
books. The program can be divided as you see fit. You could choose to accomplish only
one week in your classroom, choose to accomplish a topic when the grandchildren come to visit, or you can do everthing
from day one through week 10!
As your children follow the ocean lesson plans, reading ocean books and participating in each ocean activity,
they will learn about the wonders of the sea, the animal and plant life, environmental issues, etc. and retain more
information while having fun. You will be amazed at the results!

SAMPLE from week 4 Preschool Ocean Activties:
Read "Dirty Oceans" from First Encyclopedia of Seas and Oceans. Explore internet links about oceans if you have a computer.
Read and do "Oil Rigs" from The Great Undersea Search. To see how oil floats on the surface of the ocean, get a clear
plastic bowl and put four cups of water mixed with 8-10 drops of blue food coloring in it. Next pour 1/2 cup vegetable oil in
the bowl. Observe how the oil sits on the top of the water. After it has completely separated, you can even carefully dip the
tip of a spoon in the top layer and skim off some oil.
