My 2-year-old daughter is currently potty training. Between pull-ups, potty books, and this doll, the doll has been the most effective learning tool yet! The hardest part of potty training is getting your child to tell you that she has to go pee BEFORE she goes ahead and does it in her diaper. Since this doll ONLY pees on its special potty, my daughter has already gotten the idea that pee goes in the toilet now, not in her diaper. We've only had the doll three days and she hasn't had one accident. I hear my daughter telling her doll the same things about using the potty as I do (like remembering to flush), so the information is being reinforced through play. I've taken to putting the doll's potty in the bathroom with my daughter's potty chair so that they can "go" together. All accessories are made of very durable plastic - not flimsy like some manufacturers - and seems like it will last far beyond my daughter's potty training days. And the design of this doll and chair is really quite clever; the peeing action only occurs when the magnets in the doll's back stick to the magnets on the back of the potty chair, which means no buying batteries and no mess. My only complaint is that it is difficult to push the bottle down into the doll's mouth far enough to "feed" it. But this has not discouraged my daughter from truly enjoying this toy.
